Hey my name is Jonathan and this is my official Paint Zoom review. In my line of work I do a lot of painting. That’s sort of hard to imagine since I am a painter. My paint crew and I normally paint places like offices.

We do most of work in new dental and doctor’s offices. When I first started my painting business it was with paint brushes and rollers. It was very tiring carrying the buckets of paint everywhere and then painting all the walls and ceilings with either the brushes or rollers. All of this was very time consuming.

We eventually tried getting a paint spray gun because that would help make things go a lot faster. We got an electric airless spray gun that was supposed to work great for us. Needless to say we had many problems and difficulties with that. The biggest problem was moving the motor around. Because it was electric, that meant it had to be by a high powered electrical outlet; like the one used for a washer and dryer.

This was a big hassle for us to handle while on the job. Yes indeed it helped us get the job done a lot faster but it was not easy. We had some malfunctions from time to time as well. That was thing that bothered me a lot as well. We had to always make sure everything was perfectly set. It felt more like we were dealing with a fragile piece of equipment rather than a hard working motorized painter. We had to be very careful with it.

Even though it was a hassle we stuck with it. The other big problem was it was pointless to have more than one sprayer on the job. At the same time it was pointless to have a paint crew with the sprayer because of the amount of work it did.

Painting is something that over the years everyone has to do to their homes, inside & out, vacation getaways, and my favorite, personal projects like painting the shed (aka man cave) I just put up in the back yard.

Hello everyone, Jonathan here. I thought I would write a Paint Zoom Update post letting everyone know how my Paint Zoom has been holding up for the last while. It’s been months now that I’ve had my Paint Zoom and I have loved using it.

Painting Supplies

As a painter I understand the important of having a lot of Painting Supplies. I think a lot of people wonder what all is needed when it comes to painting. Things are bit different for me now in my preparation for painting because I use the Paint Zoom more often than not.

Before I had the Paint Zoom there was a lot I had to do to prepare for going to different jobs. As I mentioned before my crew and I do a lot of painting in doctor and dentist offices. A lot of the times it’s a new building and it’s basically a construction area and other times the office has been around for a long time.

Obviously we would need to get the paint that was required for the job. We would get our hand rollers, long poles to put the rollers on, paint brushes, multiple plastic drop clothes, and a lot of blue tape. We would also get the paint reservoirs for the paint rollers. This we carried to the job site.

At first it didn’t seem like a lot to carry to jobs but after a period of time became pretty cumbersome. Having everything on a job is vital to making sure it is done in a timely manner and with good quality. If we ever did forget something for example in the truck or had to run to home depot to get equipment, that was a loss of money, because it was a loss of time.

Now we don’t have to carry so much because we use the Paint Zoom on our jobs. In our crew we use 4 Paint Zoom sprayers. We use all 4 of them if the job is fairly big and we want to get done quickly. Normally we use two or three if it’s a smaller office. But for example in a dentist office where there are multiple rooms, it’s really nice to have each worker have one room to work on.

Each one of us grabs a few drop clothes, a roll of blue tape and we begin painting. With the Paint Zoom we can get into tight corner like where the ceiling and wall meet. The way that we have it set up is very efficient for us. We have each Paint Zoom in a small duffle bag so we can throw them over our shoulders. In each duffle bag we put the tape and drop clothes we need. Then one other person carries the paint.

For us that is the easiest way for us to carry all the equipment. Having all the painting supplies on site where we’re working is very important. Obviously we can’t avoid all the problems and surprises that the job brings and we have to make a quick run to Home Depot or Lowes on some occasions.

All that we carry with us now though are our Paint Zoom sprayers, drop clothes, and blue tape. It’s much easier than it was before carrying all the painting poles, rollers, and all the other equipment.

We really enjoy using our Paint Zoom sprayers. It is great to have on our jobs, and I like using it in my home as well. It’s easy enough for my 9 year old son to use and learn to paint.

Paint Zoom Pictures

This is when my Paint Zoom arrived and I began to open the box. After I opened the box I found all the things that were promised to me in it. The Paint Zoom was in there along with 2 huge plastic drop cloths, a large roll of painters tape, instructional DVD and user guide, the sprayer, hose and viscosity cup. I was very impressed with all of the equipment I got.

I laid everything out so it would be a bit easier to see. One thing that I forgot to mention was that it also came with filtering funnels. I use them all the time to make sure that the paint doesn’t have any unwanted debris in it. Many times paint can have pieces of things that have gotten into it that can make painting look bad. What Comes With the Paint Zoom

One of the big things that I wondered about was what comes with the Paint Zoom? On the advertisement they said I would get a free painting kit along with my Paint Zoom.

I was fine getting the Paint Zoom by itself for the only 3 payments of $40, that’s way cheaper than any other sprayer. After reading some reviews as well I saw only good things about it. The bad things that people had to say were things that they were doing, not the Paint Zoom. That’s why it’s great to have a guide.

I bought my Paint Zoom and it arrived a couple of days later. I was pretty excited when it arrived and eager to open it. I opened the box and the first thing I saw of course was the Paint Zoom itself. Then I was surprised to see that it really did come with other things. It wasn’t just a scam to get me to buy the Paint Zoom.

It had a huge plastic drop cloth for painting. That can be used to put on the ground so that paint doesn’t spill but with the Paint Zoom it wouldn’t be necessary to put it on the ground. So instead of using to cover the floor when painting I used it to cover areas of the wall that I didn’t want to paint. It was really easy to use. I have bought tons of drop cloths before and the plastic ones are nice to use on paint jobs as well.

They are easier to use on walls and if there is any trim to be painted or not painted, it helps protect it from getting sprayed. Or the other way it helps to make sure the rest of the wall doesn’t get sprayed while I do the trim. It also came with a large roll of painters tape. I’ve seen different colors of painters tape before. I usually get it in blue but I have also seen it in a lime green color.

One of the best parts was that it came with a operators DVD so that I didn’t have to read a book to find out how it works. I am not a fan of reading. If I liked reading I would’ve been a lawyer or something, but I really don’t like it in general. Not that reading is bad, my wife reads all the time however I am not a big reader. So for me the DVD was one of the best parts of the package. I got to sit down on my comfy couch and find out how it worked.

It was very clear and straight forward in explaining everything about the Paint Zoom. It talked about the viscosity cup as well which is used to check how thick the paint is. The paint always has to be thinned out a little bit. If not, then the paint zoom won’t spray it, it will be too dense.

I was very impressed with the Paint Zoom package. It also came with a 30 day money back guarantee if I didn’t like it. As well as a one year warranty incase anything happened to it; I would be able to return it and get another one free of charge. I was very impressed with that too.

I liked what I got and the Paint Zoom works really good. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys painting in any way. Even for those who maybe only have one paint job to do.

Portable Paint Sprayers

One of the main thing that attracted me to the Paint Zoom was that it was a light and portable paint sprayer. Because of its portability I can have a couple of them being used while on jobs and we can get the job done very fast.

Before I got my Paint Zoom I did a lot of shopping around looking for light weight portable paint sprayers. There were many different types of sprayers and a lot of them were really good. They had alright reviews but none of them were exactly what I was looking for.

For example one of the lightweight paint sprayers that I found was very portable but not practical at all. It was similar to a metal water pitcher, where on the handle there was a small lever for the thumb. Paint would be put into the pitcher which had a spray nozzle on it rather than a pour spout.

The user of that paint sprayer would have to point it however they wanted and then pump pressure into the can by using the small thumb lever. When I saw that, I thought to myself “you’ve got to be kidding me.” First of all it’s a metal can. The other huge problem was the weight of the whole thing with paint in it. Paint weighs a lot. It’s much denser than water is.

I imagined myself holding a pitcher of water at the dinner table and pouring a glass for my wife while reaching across the table. I’ve done it many times and I know I can’t hold my arm up that long before I completely drop it. That’s what that paint sprayer would have been like. Buying that paint sprayer was out of the question. It was not practical or really that portable.

I kept looking around and yes there are a few others that were nice, but they were very expensive. However, my motto has always been, “It’s cheaper to buy more expensive.” What I mean by that is for example when I buy cheap pistol ammo and use it, a lot of the time the rounds are duds.

Of course I just use it for target practice but either way, because I buy cheaper bullets, I get all the problems with them too. If I bought good quality bullets however, I would always have quality reaction by them. You pay for what you by. Obviously, but I mean in the sense, if you buy cheap things, it’s probably because they’re cheaply made and are weak.

When I found the Paint Zoom I was literally amazed by it. It is a great paint sprayer because it has a lot of power and it is very light weight. It’s very portable and easy to use. It originally costs around $400 dollars but it’s being sold for only $100 dollars. That was an amazing deal for me, and that’s why I bought a couple.
